The branch of Yoga I teach is based on the five principles of
Sivananda,
  1. Proper breathing, breath control excercises, good for focus and concentration.
  2. Proper relaxation, the sivasana pose that bridges most exercises disperses the lactic acid that can linger after workout giving you the uncomfortable ‘burn’.
  3. Proper diet, a yogic diet is vegetarian and without stimulants that allows your body to function optimally for health and vitality.
  4. Proper exercise, in Yoga the asana sequences of poses is designed to stimulate and balance your hormonal system and body chemistry.
  5. Positive thinking and meditation, Yoga allows us to function well in a disturbing world and make the best contribution we can to our environments.
